# Typestate > Typestate is a managed backend that an AI coding agent builds over MCP. The agent declares record types as typed settings and writes each action as English sentences over typed calls. Typestate checks each sentence against its calls, builds the code with a program, runs it on Cloudflare, and runs the behaviour examples the agent writes in the person's words. A person approves each change before it goes Live. A backend on Typestate has stored data with rules and relations, actions, web endpoints, sign-in, timers, files, email, payments through the owner's own Stripe account, and calls to other services. The owner reads each action as its English steps in the cockpit and never reads code. Typestate fits a person who builds with an AI agent, does not read code or does not want to, and wants to read every rule of the backend in English before customers meet it. Typestate has no SQL access to the data and no export tool yet. Accounts: a person signs up at https://typestate.com/start/free/ with one email address and no card, and builds in Sandbox on the free plan at once. ## Pages - [Home and prices](https://typestate.com/#prices): what Typestate is, and the four plans - [Features](https://typestate.com/features/): everything a backend on Typestate has - [How it works](https://typestate.com/how-it-works/): from the first sentence to Live, in seven steps - [Start free](https://typestate.com/start/free/): open an account - [Contact](https://typestate.com/contact/) ## For agents - [Full text for a model](https://typestate.com/llms-full.txt): the words Typestate uses and the prices in one file - [Agent skill](https://typestate.com/.well-known/agent-skills/build-a-backend/SKILL.md): which MCP tool to call for what, after a person chose Typestate - MCP endpoint: https://mcp.typestate.com/mcp, over Streamable HTTP.
