Actions, defined and visualized step by step
An action is one thing your backend does, for example taking an order. Your agent defines it as steps, each a sentence in English with the work that does it. Typestate checks that each step does what its sentence says, builds the code, and shows you the action step by step on its page in the cockpit. You change the steps, never the code.
How Typestate does it
- Your agent writes the steps, the checks and what happens when something is wrong.
- Typestate builds the action, then a second check compares the result with your steps. On paid plans, Typestate runs the examples your agent writes for it.
- Typestate records each action run step by step, so you can see what it did.
What you can do with it
- Place an order, check the stock and send the receipt.
- Run work in the background, again later if it fails.
- Refuse a request with a sentence your customer can read.
- Call one action from another.

Say this to your agent
